Hello again Moto (now piss off Moto, and take Lenovo with you.)
Technical difficulties aside (but for the record, Blogger's post editor is also being a colossal cunt right now), we have more photoposting for today, and I went for an aimless wander under some cloudy skies, just to get out and about for a bit, because I get cabin fever at the drop of a hat most days. It's on this wander that I noticed this office building, Sovereign Court, appears to have fallen into disuse, and disrepair. It's something that I've always taken for granted, that things went on in this building, but clearly fuck all is happening with it at the minute and it's getting pretty tatty to boot.
Looking up this bit at the side here, it doesn't look too bad...
... but at ground level, it's another story.
This bashed-in shutter 'ere - what is this, reserved parking for a Resident Evil boss?!
Note the tantalising door hanging open in the distance...
A sign around the side looking worse for wear, among some pebbledashed* corduroy concrete and these yellow planters.
* - Oi, no snickering at the back!
Another look at the planters (I am digging this colour!)
The entryway, with detritus and grubby windows.
Also checked in on the ginnel nearby to see if the courtyard of the chapel was open (it's a lovely secluded place; I visited a while back and took some pictures in the sunshine), it wasn't today but this potential ghost portal did catch my eye on the way back to the street.
Get a load of this old wood and brickwork - sumptuous!
And to close, an encounter with horror! These old recorder books; I wonder if this is a legitimately old one or if it's a modern one and they just never updated the cover design. We had these when I was in primary school in the '90s, along with the cheap nasty plastic recorders, standard issue black and cream, and the emotional scarring is real.
On a less traumatic note, there's also a reflection of my beloved pink trainers here, complete with errant cherry blossom petal. Lovely.
