Fridayposting

It is Friday, continuing the theme of the spooky video games, I'm currently revisiting Still Wakes the Deep and trying to finish up the blog post about that (it's a good job this isn't an audio effort because noone needs to hear yours truly going "Fuckin' 'ell, McLeary!!!" in an incredibly questionable Glaswegian accent whenever the mood so takes me.) Sod's law, I completely forgot to actually get the pictures off of Mariner... it was late at night. For now, it's time to return to the comfy slippers of The Callisto Protocol, not in chronological order and not really with a theme in mind either, just a bit of fun for today.

Starting with these artfully arranged Crunchy Creatures, with a bit of an HR Giger kind of vibe. I also appreciate the elegantly flowing mist around here. Hmmm.

(This one's off the PS4 version, I redid it on the PS5 but a big cloud of mist was obscuring one of the monsters and we can't have that.)

This hexagonal effort 'ere that I thought was a case for a fucking colossal concertina at first. Bloody hell, you'd have your work cut out playing that bugger!

A sandcastle made out of monster guts... that's just summat you'd see on a normal day out in Blackpool, to be honest.

A cosy spot to chill in the gatehouse here, complete with a tank of ethanol outside. Every crash pad should have one!

You know the expression: No monster guts, no glory.

(This is maybe on the verge of going a bit overboard though, to be fair. Going back to Still Wakes the Deep for a minute as well, that lad was absolutely taking the piss!)

A couple more artsy shots of Crunchy Creatures here; I'm genuinely pretty chuffed with these.

Some vaguely Trapdoor-looking railings and a sign that immediately made me think of this episode of Looks Unfamiliar, where Tim Worthington does a frighteningly accurate impression of Mark E. Smith and it absolutely had me in stitches. The entire episode is a delight, go give it a listen!

Another silly one (as if I actually do owt else at this point.) Jacob is not at all impressed with this angry monster 'ere, looks as if he's going "Give it a rest, mate; you're making an absolute arse of yourself. Honestly."

Some lovely water webbing here.

A couple more outdoor pictures to finish up with. In  the process of rummaging through this lot, I did find the pictures from the shipwreck, but those can wait for another time, because I have places to be and potatoes to procure.

In the meantime, have a lovely weekend, everyone. ðŸŒŸ
