Additional odds and sods pertaining to Facts About the World

It's been a busy day; there's been so much upheaval lately that it's basically all just wallpaper at this point, though.

Anyway. I've been on a hardcore cleaning spree; organised the kitchen cupboards; freed up a quite a bit of space there; watched a couple more episodes of Tasting History (basically my favourite thing right now); baked a loaf of bread, and tried and subsequently failed to solve the mystery of a parcel sent to a Mr. J Haddock. It was addressed to this house but there are no fish-people living here. There were a couple of what appear to be oil lamp wicks in there, in 1950s-looking boxes and for some reason, there was also a Scottish £10 note, and all of this with no return address. I did recently pick up some vintage Christmas decorations, like cute little shiny musical instruments which are going to look fantastic on the tree, but they've arrived successfully, separate from the mystery delivery, so I'm none the wiser as to what on earth is going on with this Fish-Man parcel. Now onto what this post is actually about: art.

Starting with this cover design that I made for putting Facts About the World up on ComicFury. This has already been mentioned on Ko-Fi but in the interest of being complete, this series is finally returning and it will be making an appearance on Monday, the 8th of September. Here's the CF page if you fancy keeping an eye on it.

This was improvised, probably fairly obvious on that front owing to the chaos involved but yes. There's Jean-Paul, Blarglflorp, an as-yet-unnamed eel, Goldie the swoonicorn, Flapdoodle and Danae, having gotten up to so much mischief that they've caused an explosion in space. Typical Friday night out in town, really.

Danae and Blarglflorp letting everyone know what to expect from these zines, because despite what the illustrations and colourful animals may suggest, they're not suitable for children!

This practice doodle that I colossally bungled because that meteor there was meant to be Flapdoodle, but I coloured him with Blarglflorp's colours by mistake. Terrible injustice. I might go back and fix it sometime but for now, there are too many things going on and that's not really majorly high on my list of priorities, sooo...

And one of two surviving remnants of the original Facts About the World (unless anyone else has saved them, then all of the original issues are long gone at this point, both physical and digital-wise), compared with the new version of the same panel. Seeing that old art made me want to head off to Danes Moss, burrow under the peat and hide there until The Shame dissipated.

And the coloured version of the DGAF doodle from a short while ago. This was actually finished the day after the lineart, I just forgot to post it.

And that concludes today's chaosposting. Time for another brew and probably a lie down.
