Rustled up the pictures from the no-man's-land over the rail bridge

There are more pictures from this walkabout, but there's over 100 of them, so they'll have to be split up between posts. Starting out of chronological order, here's the wasteland with the ruined buildings and the abandoned Norweb sign. I came up here back around 2010, when it was covered in snow and the buildings and railway sleepers were substantially more intact. At that point, there was also a pile of debris and a sizeable circle of ash where there'd been a fire.

For now, we'll have to settle for what's still remaining of it as of earlier this year, because I think that older crop of pictures is long gone by now (hard drive failures - ugh.)

15 years ago, this building had another sort-of wall, crudely constructed of that plasticky coated wire that I can't remember the technical term for it, and a small, partly-collapsed and severely rusted metal door frame, as well as a piece of corrugated iron attempting to serve as a roof - all of that has long gone.

The chimney is still standing on this building here.

A look at the Norweb sign, in significantly rougher nick than the one I encountered more recently.

Here's where the scorched ground, debris and ash were on my previous visit; looks like activity may have died down here since then.
